CURE is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) established in the year 2014 with a vision to provide wholesome environment to our present as well as future generation. The basic philosophy adopted is inter-generational equity between Industrial pace for growth in present and ecosystem left for future.Sustainable mode of development becomes only solution to bring a balance among all the driving forces for the current global economy. One such driving force is use of technology which has made the life easier in one way but threatening in other way. Rapid advancement in techno world makes inevitable adoption of modified version of electronic and electrical equipment. This fast changing technology has created a heap of non-functional EEE (Electrical Electronic Equipments). The electronic wastes created are becoming potential polluting agent to the environment if left unprocessed in a scientific manner. These E-wastes contain a lot of hazardous substances capable in causing disease among living beings.
Fixing problem of toxic electronic waste, polluting our ecosystem by creating awareness among the citizen, local bodies, and policy makers and corporate about safe and environmentally proven process for reuse, reduction and disposal of waste is prime concern of the organisation.
Main thrust area of the organisation is to aware people about the toxic effects of the electronic waste by creating common understanding and shared responsibilities among the producers, consumers and other stakeholders. Social, educational, economic development of men , women and children as rag pickers is our another goal to achieve so that the constitutional mandate of equality enshrined under Article 14 can be fulfilled.
