On April 20, 2024, CURE India proudly marked a significant achievement by successfully conducting its 130th medical training session on the Ponseti method of Clubfoot management. This milestone event was held in collaboration with the Department of Paediatric Orthopaedics at Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health (GICH) in Bangalore, Karnataka.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Sanjay K S, Director of Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health and the President and Secretary of the Karnataka Orthopaedic Association, who served as the Guest of Honour. The training session also featured insights from renowned experts, including Dr. Rudra Prasad, Head of the Department of Paediatric Orthopaedics, Kiran Rajappa, Associate Professor, Dr. Abhishek Basme, Assistant Professor, and Mohammed Yakub, Assistant Professor.
With the participation of 100 dedicated doctors, the Ponseti workshop provided invaluable hands-on casting experience, significantly enhancing the skills and knowledge of the attendees. This hands-on training is instrumental in improving the lives of children affected by Clubfoot, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.
