On November 5th, 2024, CURE India had the honor of participating in the District Interact Leadership Assembly (DILA), a remarkable initiative by Rotary International. Hosted at Maitreyi College, University of Delhi, this assembly brought together Interact members aged 12-18 from diverse backgrounds to cultivate leadership skills, understand the goals of Rotary and Interact, build meaningful connections, and plan impactful community service projects.
At this vibrant event, CURE India showcased its Clubfoot Disability Elimination Program through a dedicated stall. The stall served as a hub for engaging conversations, where we interacted with students, educators, and Rotary leaders. These discussions focused on raising awareness about clubfoot, the importance of timely treatment, and how early intervention can transform the lives of affected children.
This opportunity to share insights about our mission with such an enthusiastic audience was both inspiring and fulfilling. It underscored the importance of fostering collaboration between healthcare initiatives and youth-driven organizations like Rotary International to amplify the impact of community service.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Maitreyi College and Rotary International for organizing this enriching event. It was a privilege to connect with the young leaders of tomorrow, united by a shared vision to make a lasting difference.
Together, we can create a clubfoot-free future where no child is left behind. Donate today to support our mission and help us take one more step towards ending clubfoot disability in India.
