On November 29, 2024, CURE India marked a significant milestone with its 135th medical training session on the Ponseti Method of clubfoot management. Held at Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital in Pimpri, Chinchwad, Pune, the session reinforced CURE India’s unwavering commitment to ending clubfoot disabilities in the country.

Leadership in Action

The training was spearheaded by two eminent orthopedic experts:

• Dr. Mathew Varghese, Chairman & Founder Trustee of CURE India, a luminary in disability care and prevention.
• Dr. Anil Mehtani, Former Director, Professor & Chief of Orthopaedics at LHMC and Kalawati Saran Children’s Hospital, New Delhi, who shared invaluable insights and expertise.

The session equipped medical professionals with the latest knowledge and skills to deliver effective and compassionate care to children with clubfoot. By focusing on the Ponseti Method, the gold standard for non-surgical clubfoot treatment, the training emphasized:
