CURE India is proud to share the success of the State-Level RBSK (Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram) Medical Officer Training, held at the Family Health and Welfare Centre, Raipur, on 7th January 2025. This impactful session brought together 30 dedicated healthcare professionals, providing a valuable platform to strengthen efforts in the early identification and treatment of clubfoot.
The training, led by Ms. Sarika Beg, CURE India’s State Program Coordinator, focused on the importance of early detection and timely referral of children with clubfoot. As clubfoot is a treatable condition, early diagnosis and intervention are crucial to ensuring that children receive the Ponseti Method, the gold standard of clubfoot treatment. The session emphasized how healthcare providers, especially RBSK Medical Officers, can play a pivotal role in identifying affected children and guiding them toward the right treatment pathways.
Ms. Sarika highlighted the transformative impact of CURE India’s work—from providing free treatment at our clinics to supporting families throughout their child’s recovery journey. She also shed light on how collaborations between government programs like RBSK and organizations like CURE India are key to making India clubfoot-free by 2030.
Trainings like these strengthen healthcare systems at the grassroots level, ensuring that children with clubfoot in even the most remote regions of India receive the care they deserve. By equipping medical officers with knowledge and practical tools, CURE India continues to bridge the gap between awareness and action—empowering healthcare workers to recognize, refer, and restore mobility to children in need.
Each step we take brings us closer to a clubfoot-free India. With your support, we can ensure that no child is left untreated and that every child gets the chance to walk, run, and dream big.
