On September 26th, 2024, CURE India’s dedicated District Program Coordinator, Ms. Puja Dhotre, took part in a pivotal district-level ASHA Workers training session in Beed, Maharashtra. This event presented a unique opportunity to advance CURE India’s mission of eradicating clubfoot disability across the country by sharing essential insights with the ASHA Workers.
Ms. Puja actively engaged with the participants, highlighting the crucial role ASHA Workers play in identifying children born with clubfoot and referring them to CURE India clinics for timely intervention and treatment. Early detection and intervention are critical in ensuring that children affected by clubfoot can receive the best possible care through the non-surgical Ponseti method, which is considered the gold standard in clubfoot management.
This training session provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, reinforcing efforts to support children born with clubfoot and emphasizing the importance of community involvement in making a lasting impact. By educating and empowering ASHA Workers, CURE India continues to strengthen its outreach and ensure that no child with clubfoot is left untreated.
As part of its broader vision of a clubfoot-free India by 2030, CURE India remains committed to working hand-in-hand with healthcare workers and the community. Together, we can provide early intervention, effective treatment, and hope for a better future.
You, too, can make a difference in a child’s life. Donate towards making a difference and help us continue our journey towards a clubfoot-free India!
