On June 3rd, 2024, CURE India celebrated World Clubfoot Day at the India Habitat Centre. We were privileged to welcome Shri Rajesh Aggarwal, IAS, Secretary of DePwD, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, as our Chief Guest. His inspiring words motivated us to strive toward eliminating disabilities and ensuring equal opportunities for everyone.
Dr. Mathew Varghese, Chairman and Founder Trustee of CURE India, delivered an impassioned speech about our collaboration with government hospitals. He emphasized the necessity of accessible, non-surgical, and free clubfoot treatment, along with the importance of adequately training medical staff. Dr. Varghese illustrated how our program helps remove physical and emotional stigmas, significantly improving the quality of life for the children we serve.
Dr. Santosh G, Director of CURE India, recounted the organization's journey, highlighting the collective efforts of various societal sections in addressing clubfoot. He proudly announced that over 100,000 children have benefited from our initiatives and shared our exciting future goals.
